1.5 more weeks

Wednesday, December 7th, 2005

The end of the school semester is near, a week and a half to be exact. Of course the end of the semester always means time to catch up on missing assignments, finish up final projects, and study for those damned finals; and this semester is no exception. In fact, I don’t think I’ve been to bed before 1 a.m the last two weeks because of worthless homework.

It’s 12:49 am right now and I’m about to start my Java assignment that’s due at noon tomorrow and the only thing keeping me going is the fact that I’m getting wasted in order to keep myself awake. I’m not sure how easy Java is drunk but I’ll let you know in the morning.

Hope your week is going better than mine.

I heart bubble sorts

Wednesday, October 5th, 2005

I don’t know if anyone reading this know anything about Perl but it is a rad programming language, maybe even my favorite. Anyway, there is a very simple way to sort lists of information in Perl and it involves a spaceship. And everyone knows spaceships are rad. Unfortunately my Perl instructor is requiring us to do our sorting in a much more dificult way (bubble sort) and it is ruining my life. End of story I guess.

New stuff on the way

Sunday, September 18th, 2005

So I got my dying iBook looked at yesterday at the Apple Store. Turns out I was correct that the logic board was broken and that it needs to be sent in to Apple to be fixed. The good news is that it is completely covered by Apple since it is a very frequent problem with the G3 iBooks. Another bit of good news is that I found out that whoever owned it before me bought a 3-year service plan for it so I’m covered until July of ‘06 for anything that breaks on it.

Anyway, I’ve been wanting to update some of the content on the site for awhile now but I’ve been really busy with school/work and skating. But now that I’m learning some Javascript, I’ve been getting some ideas for stuff I want to do to the site. So I reckon when I get the iBook back and have access to Dreamweaver again there’ll be some changes coming to the site.

Packer prediction: Packers 21, Browns 14. Thats all.

Why

Monday, September 12th, 2005

Why does my RSS reader refuse to work correctly? Why does God hate the Packers? Why do I have my air conditioner on at 10:30 at night in the middle of September? Why do I wait until the night before my homework is due to start it? Why do I never update this site?

I don’t know the answers to these questions but I do know that I’m too goddamn busy to figure them out.

Breaking widgets

Friday, September 2nd, 2005

Well that widget that I made for the site is broke. Figures. For whatever reason, the RSS is not showing up in the widget. Funny thing is that when I run it in a web browser, it works perfectly but the minute I run it in Dashboard the widget shows up minus the RSS. If anyone reading this (Panther) knows an easy fix, let me know cuz school is taking up about 90% of my time and I just don’t have the time/patience to look into this stuff right now.

Man, it is so easy to take summer for granted. I’m only one week into the school year and already wishing I could go back in time about 3 months. Anyway, going camping this weekend so hopefully will have some new content for the site by next week. Navy Boy is computer-less for a few months so the Litzbomb is gonna have to take over the comments section for awhile. Let’s hear some of your rants you crazy broad.

NEW LAYOUT TOMORROW?

Sunday, July 24th, 2005

So I’m about 90% done with the new layout. If I get enough time to work on it tomorrow, it could be up by like 9pm or so. Check those RSS readers yo!

Up until I started using Wordpress to create this blog, my experience with PHP was zero. When I first started messing around with the PHP code, it just looked like a bunch of dumb letters and numbers that didn’t make any sense. But now that I’ve been using this bugger for a while, I’m starting to figure out what some of those dumb letters and numbers mean and realizing how rad it is to make them talk to eachother. Looking forward to learning it in school this year.

Wow, this is looking a bit too much like a waytoocrowded post. Time to get back to She Spies.

The end of this layout

Sunday, July 17th, 2005

is coming soon. It is so awful.

UNIX and I had a little date together last night (and the previous night, and the night before that). We had a good supper, and a few drinks. Life is lame til Wednesday. Damn it is hot out.

UNIX Is Killing Me

Thursday, July 14th, 2005

Sorry Navy Boy, but I’ve been slaving over an online course all week trying to get it done by next Wednesday. Probably won’t be many updates to the site over the next week. Lately, life consists of waking up, going to work, coming home, eating ice cream sandwiches, UNIX’ing, and going to sleep. Back to class…
