Word to the Panther for the new total posts count over there by the Archives/Old Posts. I’m pretty sure that picture is worthy enough of its own post.

Those lomo-ish pics are fixed. That’s all. Navy boy, where you at?

Lomo fun

Wednesday, August 17th, 2005

Well, kind of lomo fun. Took some older photos and lomo-ized them in Photoshop. I found a neat little Photoshop CS script that churns one of these babies out in about 30 seconds. Here they are: 1 2 3

Sin City is rad. If you haven’t seen it, see it.

And it looks like my Automator workflow no longer works…

Yay or nay?

I was digging around on delicious the other day and found a neat tutorial on how to make lomo-like images using Photoshop. So I tried it out on one of my photos and came up with this. It worked.

Automator is neat

Sunday, August 14th, 2005

So after months of putting it off, I finally sat down tonight and wrote a couple of Automator workflows to make updating this here blog a little easier. Now I go to school for computer programming and write fairly complicated macros for my employer but I’ve got to admit, learning how to use Automator took me awhile. The way the application is laid out, it seems like it would be fairly easy to learn. There is a list of programs in a column on the left and their respective actions on the right. Simply drag your actions into the workflow and then run it right? Nope. Keep in mind I didn’t take the time to read the help files but who reads those anyway? But eventually I figured it out and now its a snap. I made a workflow that takes an image, resizes it to 600 x 450 pixels, waits for me to make adjustments, saves as a jpeg, and then creates a separate thumbnail of the image. All with a simple drag and click. Pretty neat.

New pics here. New video clip here. Look at ‘em, watch ‘em, laugh at their lameness.

Yo Panther, how can I make the hover affect in the navigation bar work in Internet Explorer? Not that anyone should be using IE anyway. While I’m on that topic, if anyone reading this is still using Internet Explorer, do yourself a favor and download Firefox or else buy a Mac and use Safari. You won’t regret either of those moves.

Gonna watch Hotel Rwanda now. Supposed to be a good one.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. When I saw these photos today I thought of quite a few words, two of them being “fucking stupid”. Now I love my iPod, but this shit is just taking it too far. What’s next? Video clips of dudes jerking off onto their iPods? This just really upsets me. Like, can you imagine the thought process that this broad went through before doing this? “Hmmm, I think it would be neat to take all of my iPods, dress them up like people, and take pictures of them doing human things.” She coulda at least taken some funny ones like an iPod sitting on the can reading a newspaper or like one all covered in blood in a crashed up car or something.

This dude takes some pretty pictures. Check them out.

Hopefully none of you (three of you now?) tried anything like this on Monday. Then again, that is the kind of shit that we woulda done a few years ago when we were cool.

We found this site by accident a couple of weeks ago. You can catch up on all the celebrity gossip and get some good laughs there. The dude that writes for the site has some serious hatred for Kirsten Dunst.

Those goddamn ants are back today. They invaded the cat’s dish while we were at work so I stomped on the bastards and flushed them down the toilet along with the contents of the bowl. That might be the most disgusting photo I’ve ever taken. Done.
