Its been awhile. Seriously, quite awhile. In case anyone was wondering, here’s what’s up:
After paying a small fortune on rent every month for the past year, I decided that monthly small fortune would be better off going into an investment than the pockets of a (more than likely) stinkin’ rich landlord. This led me to the seemingly endless search for a house/condo. As exciting as looking for your first property may sound, it is time consuming, mentally draining and not something I look forward to doing again for a long time. But after many hours of searching and dragging my real estate agent to properties, I settled on a small studio condo in the Uptown/Lake Calhoun area of Minneapolis. Getting used to living in a smaller space (about half the size of my last apartment) will take some time but the area is great and it feels good to be back in the city. I will post many photos of my new living space as soon as Coon (the cat) and I get settled in.
That is all for now, I will leave you with a few random bits of awesomeness:
- Hop, skip, and jump over to the newly re-designed andylaub.com and waytoocrowded.com. Note to the two of you: I’m noticing a trend towards clean, white, simple layouts with your last few designs. Could it be that white is the new black? Not according to dabootski.com…
- The Milwaukee Brewers are pretty much ruling the MLB and my life. Thank god for the dirt cheap season long audio package from mlb.com. If anyone is interested in catching a game or two this summer (at Minnesota or Milwaukee) let me know as I’m itching to get to one.
- The new Dinosaur Jr album is super good. I don’t normally link to the iTunes store but this one is so good you should just buy it. Take my word for it. They are playing here in Minneapolis on the 29th and 30th of May so again, if anyone is interested, let me know as I’m for sure checking out the show.
- Free cable in my new place! I don’t know how long it will last but you can bet I’ll be taking advantage of it while its here! Skinamax in HD!!!
- The St. Louis Park skatepark has me excited again to skate obstacles that aren’t mini ramps. We’ll see how long that lasts.
How about this JJ you fly your scrawny ass back down here by me and we watch a Brewer game at Petco park on me? and i will buy the beer it is a weekend game so i know you will be there RIGHT, if not i fear i must excommunicate you. I look forward to you making the right decision.

Jason, awesome to hear you’re getting moved in and whatnot. I’ll have to visit soon and we need to go fishing sometime soon too. Dad and I are headed up north this weekend…I’ll update you if I catch a new world-record. Should be pretty schwetty just to get outside for once. School has been extremely worthless the last two weeks. …Brewers game…definitely a yes on that one!!!
