Weekend itinerary

Weekend itinerary:

Try to drag a couple of my co-workers to bar after work.

Rock some Zelda on the Wii.

Spraypaint my headphones black.

File taxes?

Steal some new music from the internet. My daily diet of Basement Jaxx all morning, Slayer all afternoon is (suprisingly) getting old. Any suggestions?

The nice thing about iTunes is its network sharing features. I never get bored of music at work with all the shared music. Now if only Songbird would connect to them so I could ditch iTunes.

I’m pretty sure Kraftwerk will never lose its programming power but after extended periods of staring at code and listening to robot voices, your brain can start to do weird things.

I wish my brain would do something at work other than read news feeds all day long. This past week I have really wanted to smash my fingers into something to make sure that I was still alive!

Well… wind it up by gwen stefani is pretty good, but don’t ask cj… because he’ll tell you that he hates it from over hearing it… otherwise you should really delve back. catch some built to spill or the girl band shivaree (not to be confused with my brother-in-laws old band from medford… although that is some good tuneage too if you want to go back back then i suggest you add some food warning and T.W.A. (trouble with authority) or legion of doom”. .. yeah or just listen to some oldies.

if you think you know anything about great fucking music. take this suggestion. and if you dont take it, just know you made a bad choice. First if i havent told you already. listen to the talking heads. in the last year or more ive really been digging all thier stuff. i would start with “77″, theyre first album, or “Remain in Light” thier fourth. the latter extra specially if you want your idea of what “guitar written music “is to be blown away. the other albums inbetween are just as good. it takes a bit to for some to appreciate david byrne’s style of singing, but its way more cleverly artful way of singing than your little brain could process. Byrne is true music genius (one of the few or many, i can’t decide yet). He writes most everything on all thier albums, although the band itself are full of superb muscians. dont base your decision on what you think you know of the talking heads. really listen to them. David Byrne lyrically is a trip in listening too. way ahead of his time. Dont sell short the Talking Heads, who inspired, and created great music, great art, and with out them. This world musically would never have moved on (considering all the other great undeniable pioneers and music makers who also helped the world move musically ahead to great things. I could keep ranting, and tell you , all of you besides jason, dig the Talking Heads. your lieing to yourself if you dont. Dont be hung up. and if you cant dig them, dont worry, you just dont know really great music.

i wanted to mention a few other must listen to, listens. yep. get that. but not if i have to drop some huge line like above to convince others to check out what one should already be listening too. My taste in music arent contained to one niche or slice of what is good or cool music to one’s self. Great music no matter who you are: catholic, old, young, rocker, rapper, cheerleader, president, gay, on mushrooms, or totally a square. Great music transcends all, meaning you can have your taste in music. but music that is truly great changes the world, changes people, gets talked about, but over all affects and relates to anyone and everyone. no matter what you like. like or not like it affects you and your world. if you dont subscirbe to this theory, thats alrights (selfacknowledges music snobbery here, for good reason though). im just trying to let you know if your sick of myspace, or just randomly looking for music, or dont know whats worth listening to or not. I know, truly, “its the music coming through me” thats i can lead you all (anyone reading this) to what great music is and why there is line that should be acknowledge as to seperate people who destroy art and push foward nothing new or inspiring ,and the people that no matter what create great music and art because its living and breathing inside of them. It is what they must do. an unseen force call for it from these great music persons. ill stop here for now kids.
let me know if you need a good ear to great music.. ill guide you children.

Slayer never gets old. I didn’t mean that. Its just the mixture of Basement Jaxx and Slayer that makes things a little odd.

yram (mary?): NavyBoiLand was most radical. Quite the city I must say. Can’t wait to go back. As far as seeing anyone cute… I can’t say I saw many that weren’t cute.
