The photo page got a makeover last night and is now a stream of my flickr account. Like I said before, there is probably many different ways to pull something like this off but thanks to this handy little plug-in, all it took was changing a few chunks of code and adding some of my own to reach the desired effect.
The front page of the site will display the four most recent images in my account and the image page will display the twenty most recent images. This is all done dynamically ala’ PHP and Javascript so I no long have to hard code the HTML and Javascript for each image I add. All I do now is drag my images into my flickr uploader and they automagically appear on the site. Neat.
The only problem that I see so far is that the images are ordered by the date that they were taken instead of the date that I uploaded them. Most of the time this would be no biggie, but if I ever want add an ‘oldie but goodie’ it will get stuck into the middle of the list instead of the top. I can get around it by modifying the ‘date taken’ date but that kind of defeats the purpose of even sharing that information.
Jarhead was sold out last night, buzzkill. Thats it. Go Badgers. Go Bucks too.
Looks slick. The only thing I noticed is that the “view all” only shows when you click on your images link, and not under the four photos on the homepage. Just an FYI.
I’m in the Southdale Apple Store right now… Yeee ha!

Looks slick. The only thing I noticed is that in Firefox the popup window never manages to finish loading – the image loads but it keeps on grinding at something. Just an FYI.
I’m in the Wausau Columns right now… Yeee ha!

Why dont you write about something that someone cares about, instead of all this computer geek shit. i am not looking at this site again until i hear about some changes.
